Her father, who was in judicial custody since April 4 after he got into a fight with the MLA's brother, died on Monday.
The court also appointed an amicus curiae in the matter and posted it to be heard on April 12. "The whole family is going through a mental trauma", claimed Sengar's wife and added: "Till now not even a single evidence of my husband's involvement in the rape has been produced and ironically he has already been declared a rapist", she asserted. He was arrested after over 15 hours of questioning by the CBI.
On Thursday, the Allahabad High Court had come down heavily on the Uttar Pradesh government, asking that despite FIR why BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar was not arrested. The CBI, which had taken over the probe on Thursday morning, had started questioning Kuldeep Singh Sengar early Friday morning, ahead of the court ruling.
It directed the CBI to consider filing an application for cancellation of bail granted to other accused in the rape case.

When confronted by the media, the MLA said that he had come to enquire whether his name had appeared in any of the First Information Reports (FIRs).
Kumar said the government chose to transfer the case to the CBI after lodging the case into the incidents of June 4, 2017, (alleged rape) and since the two other cases of April 3 this year (cross FIRs on the beating up of the victim's father leading to his death) are connected, they will also be transferred to the CBI.
