Man charged in fatal stabbing of CEO denied bond

WLS A 56-year-old man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a suburban CEO in River North last month

A man is in custody for stabbing a man to death and beating his estranged wife with a baseball bat, authorities say.

Police were scrambled to Colindale, North London just before 6pm yesterday and found the man, named locally as Raul Nicolaie, suffering stab wounds.He was rushed to hospital but sadly couldn't be saved.

The number of killings in the capital this year has risen to 60 after an 18-year-old man was discovered with serious injuries in Forest Gate, east London, on last night.

In a seemingly unlinked incident cops were called to Head Street in Limehouse, Tower Hamlets, at 3.18pm today and found the 17-year-old male suffering from multiple wounds.

Speaking of the Brixton stabbing, a Met Police spokesman told Sky News: "Officers attended, along with London's Air Ambulance". We await formal identification.

Officers were called to a residential address in Sudbourne Road, Brixton, at around 6.36pm on Sunday.

"Despite the efforts of paramedics she was pronounced dead at the scene".

A woman in her 20s has been arrested in connection with the Colindale attack. "It is believed the victim and the man arrested were known to each other". The woman, identified as Francis Garcia Maqbool, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight, where she is reported to be in critical condition.
