Phoenix fire personnel responded to a house fire in west Phoenix where a person was trapped inside. No injuries have been reported.

Crews were told by the caller that the back of the house was on fire, according to Fire Capt. Dan Cooley.

An 83-year-old man died who perished a fire Saturday at his Hickory Township home died of smoke inhalation. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

Officials say they're investigating the exact cause of the fire, but said an explosion may have been attributed to medical oxygen tanks and ammunition found in a burned area of the home. They left at 7 p.m.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal ruled the fire accidental due to electrical issues in the living room and said there are no signs of foul play.

St. Clair firefighters were assisted by Pacific, Union, Boles, Sullivan fire districts and St. Clair Ambulance.
