Westside Gets Respite From Rain Sunday But There's More To Come

FIRST ALERT: Rain on the way for Sunday

Winter isn't over yet ... some students may begin their Spring Break with snow on Monday!

The rain showers will become more widespread overnight Sunday and into Monday.

Good news is that we'll be back in the 60s to near 70 by the end of the work week! As the storm system pulls offshore there is a slight chance that we could see frozen precipitation late Monday. Highs lower 70s. Rain chance 20%. Some areas across Mid-Missouri could see some bands of heavier snow falling this morning, which will lead to some light accumulations, mainly on grassy or elevated surfaces. Nonetheless, rain showers could make a return by Saturday. Temperatures will be above average in the low to mid 60's. That results in gusty winds and temperatures in the 40s for the morning commute. "That could mean more moderate to locally heavy rain later in the evening". Otherwise, increasing sunshine and breezy conditions, those gusts up to around 30 miles per hour at times.
