PUBG Hits the 5 Million Players Milestone on Xbox One

PUBG has passed five million players on Xbox One.

This announcement comes shortly after publisher Epic Games revealed that Fortnite, another popular PC and console-based battle royale game, is making its way to mobile devices. Now, that same mobile version is finally spreading to the west, starting off with a "soft launch" in Canada. And it recently shared its short-term development roadmap so gamers know what to expect in the weeks ahead.

Taking all of this into consideration, this most recent goal reached by PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on Xbox One definitely shows that interest in battle royale titles hasn't waned one bit since the game's original release on PC caused a resurgence in popularity for the genre. 100 players are dropped on an enormous 8x8 km battlefield. Canadian players can download a localized Android version from Google Play while other regions can change their phone's region to gain access to the Canadian store as well.
