Cordarrelle Patterson was a very exciting signing by the Oakland Raiders past year, as he was expected to fill a special team role, as well as make an impact in the passing game. Patterson has one year left on his contract. The speedy swiss army knife was originally a first round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2013 and was an All-Rookie teamer with nine total touchdowns, two of which were kick returns. Patterson is a 2-time Pro Bowler and 3-time All-Pro.
Patterson is headed to New England in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. However, he is an outstanding returner, leading the National Football League in kickoff returns (28.3 yards per return) last season.
Oakland had six sixth round picks this offseason, four of which were compensatory draft picks.
