The NFL Free Agency Frenzy is nearly like Christmas in March, and for Case Keenum his present is playing in Denver on Sunday's.
The Case Keenum era has officially begun in Denver.
Talk about a journeyman. Past year in Minnesota, Keenum started 14 games (11-3 record) and compiled a 98.3 passer rating.
Denver also was reportedly in the market for Kirk Cousins, who is set to leave the Redskins this week.
But by the time the free-agent negotiating window did open, Elway had settled on Keenum.

Theismann predicts Cousins will end up signing with the Vikings over other top suitors Denver, the New York Jets and Arizona. Cousins spent the last four seasons with the Washington team, and was the starting qb since the 2015 season.
The Broncos ultimately decided not to make Cousins an offer on Monday, a team source said.
As for Kirk Cousins, ProFootball Talk is reporting via a source that the Vikings and New York Jets are the only two teams who have shown interest in Cousins thus far. The Jets have $90 million in cap space to try to lure him.
Gary Kubiak is no longer the Broncos' coach, but he still has a lot of say in the organization.
Keenum entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Houston in 2012, despite holding NCAA records for most passing yards, passing touchdowns, and 300-yard passing games, among others.
"The amount of football I learned those first two years I can't even put into words how much he's meant to me in my career". He started 15 games for the Vikings in 2016, completing 71.6-percent of his passes for 3,877 yards and 20 touchdowns. Kubiak is now the Broncos' front-office consultant.
The Broncos had major issues at quarterback last season, using a mixture of Trevor Siemien, Paxton Lynch and Brock Osweiler, en route to a 5-11 record. The terms of the deal haven't been released, but analysts project Keenum's salary to sit somewhere in the $16-18m per year range. It means the Broncos probably won't take a quarterback with their No. 5 overall draft pick, although Elway won't rule it out. Many Broncos players, most notably Von Miller, lobbied Cousins to sign with Denver. Conversely, word spread around the combine that Keenum would not necessarily wait for a Cousins deal to find an National Football League suitor, choosing instead to strike quickly in the process.
