These are all definitely some exciting features, helping give Microsoft Teams some more edge over the popular collaboration tool, Slack.
Teams just turned one, and for its anniversary, Microsoft has unveiled new professional features for it that go well beyond what rivals like Slack offer. ConocoPhillips, General Motors, Macys, NASCAR, and Technicolor are among the 200,000 organizations using Teams today, said Lori Wright, Microsoft's GM of Teams and Skype for Business, in a No Jitter briefing.

And despite market concern at Cortana's future, Microsoft said it will add Cortana voice interactions for Teams-enabled devices. She did, however, call out one additional statistic, that being that Microsoft has more than 125 million users on Office 365 today - and since Teams is built on the backbone of Office 365, "the data we get through the Microsoft Graph lets us do things we want to do around AI, cognitive services, and machine learning to power the future of intelligent communications". The enterprise calling features are set to arrive in Q2 of 2018, and the other features, like Cloud Recording and in-line translation, will arrive later in the year.
