Most importantly, however, is that this is Daniel Bryan's first episode back as both the Smackdown Live General Manager and in-ring competitor. The WWE's medical director Dr. Joseph Maroon has cleared Bryan to return as well.
"I have loved this (pro wrestling) in a way that I have never loved anything else", he said during his retirement speech on the February 8, 2016 episode of "Raw". And he's recently undergone new treatments in a hyperbaric chamber that have reportedly shown dramatic improvements for people with injuries similar to his. Bryan has been in a long-simmering feud with The Miz that fans have been desperate to see pay off, but that would require someone to change brands for the event.
To play things safe however, WWE is expected to put him on a limited wrestling schedule for now.
"When I saw another specialist and they cleared me, [Brie] said, 'Listen, you need to fight for your dreams", Bryan said.
Years after joining the WWE, the wrestler achieved mainstream success in 2014-15 due to his overwhelming fan base, dubbed the "Yes!"
Empire Drops Another Six Avengers: Infinity War Covers
So, of course, Marvel fans are already billing Avengers: Infinity War as "the most ambitious crossover event in history". Russo didn't give any concrete figures but took two names when asked which character will have the most screen time.
It's the news that Daniel Bryan and WWE fans have been waiting for.
Will AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura have to watch each other's back ahead of WrestleMania? He made an immediate impact upon debuting for WWE, and it's been going nowhere but up for him (excluding that short stint as United States Champion, that was just kind of bad, for some reason). The WWE's official website has also raised questions if Bryan could make an appearance next month after being medically cleared on Tuesday. Bryan is again beating the odds.
There had been speculation that Bryan would leave WWE once his contract expires so he can make an in-ring return elsewhere. This week's show will focus on the fallout of last week's attack on Commissioner Shane McMahon at the hands of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. With that in mind, Bryan should not immediately return to the risky style that made him into a star.
Tonight, WWE will be airing this week's edition of WWE Smackdown from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, the same venue in which WWE Raw took place last night.
As of right now neither John Cena nor Daniel Bryan have officially been booked for WrestleMania, but it's rumored Cena will be facing The Undertaker and Daniel Bryan is rumored to be teaming up with Shane McMahon to face Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
