After the clip was replayed in the studio, Desus & Mero stood by their joke but offered an apology and said they would never joke about DJ Envy again. "You can talk about me all you want, make fun of me all you want, but when it's wife and kids, there is no but". Unsurprisingly, fans had a lot to say about the drama, majority wondering why Envy walked off his own show, particularly after receiving an apology.
Envy says he also chose to leave because he didn't want to situation to escalate since his co-host Charlamagne continued to crack jokes about it.
