CM Punk Confirms His UFC Return

Former WWE Star CM Punk To Return To The Octagon At UFC 225

Punk is likely hoping to rehabilitate his image as a fighter, but at 39 years old, his age could be a factor as much as his inexperience in the Octagon.

As expected, the former professional wrestling superstar for the WWE, Phil "CM Punk" Brooks will be giving MMA another go after his terrible debut back at UFC 203 in September of 2016.

Responding to a scathing tweet asking when we'd see Punk "cry again" inside the cage, the ex-WWE star announced that he'd be shedding tears for a very different reason (victory) on 9 June. He responded with, "June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my handsome wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team".

Mourinho happy with referee's decision to not send off Klopp
On why Liverpool weren't at their best, he added: "I have no explanation for that because it's clear". We are under pressure whether we are ahead of United or five points behind'.

Despite plenty of naysayers who feel Punk's spot in the UFC is unearned, it appears the fight may actually happen. It was a first round losing effort against Mickey Gall, who was only fighting for the third time in his MMA career. After the ECW experiment ended, Punk's career took off as he would win a total of five world championships, including a 434-day reign with the WWE Championship in 2011.

All signs point to Phil "CM Punk" Brooks making his second octagon appearance at UFC 225 in June. He eventually made his debut against Mickey Gall (4-1) at UFC 203 in September 2016. The former WWE Superstar continues to drop hints about having his second fight at UFC 225. Wrestlemania XXVIII will be held on Sunday at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., where CM Punk with face Chris Jericho.
