A Cirque du Soleil aerialist has died after falling on to the stage during a show in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Hours before his death, he shared an excited post about debuting his "straps duo act" alongside Pawel Walczewski.

The remaining two Volta shows scheduled in Tampa have been cancelled.

"The entire Cirque du Soleil family is in shock and devastated by this tragedy".

He added: "In the weeks to come, we will concentrate our energy on supporting Yann's family and all of our employees, particularly the VOLTA team, while we go through this hard time together". It's time to go for it'.

Julian Martinez was in the audience when the performer fell.

Arnaud fell to his side after hovering 15 feet above the crowd and was not responsive when colleagues rushed to his aid, according to the report. In order for the VOLTA team to focus on the health of the artist, the rest of the show was canceled.

For some observers, the real question for Putin is whether he can now use his mandate to push for some program of economic reform. Mr Navalny was excluded from the election because of an embezzlement conviction that he said was manufactured by the Kremlin.

Cirque's statement pledged "full and transparent collaboration" as the circumstances of the accident are investigated.

The Volta show has been touring across Canada and the US for years.

A spokesman for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group identified the performer as Yann Arnaud, a longtime aerialist, WFLA reported.
