For Twitch Prime users, this looks like a lot of new value to your membership.

Twitch will start giving Twitch Prime subscribers a collection of free games every month.

Following in the footsteps of its subscription competitors, Twitch Prime, which is included in Amazon Prime subscriptions, has now become more like PlayStation Plus and Xbox LIVE Gold by doling out a monthly allotment of free games.

Twitch Prime debuted in September 2016, and is actually a part of Amazon Prime, which goes for $13 per month or $99 per year.

The first collection of games is available starting Thursday through the end of March. March's five free games include Superhot, Oxenfree, Mr. Shifty, Shadow Tactics, and Dungeons & Dragons: Tomb of Annihilation.

When I covered Hunter last week in Brooklyn at the ACC Tournament, he played at times with his wrist taped or wrapped. Last year, forward Isaiah Wilkins, this year's ACC defensive player of the year, missed time with an illness.

Both March and April's Free Game with Prime selection will feature five games.

"We're also happy to announce that all eight titles from Indie Amplifier will be made available for free over the next few months", said Twitch.

A new set of games will be available from 1 April: Tales from the Borderlands, SteamWorld Dig 2, Kingsway, Tokyo 42 and Dubwars. Considering Amazon has a lot of Prime subscribers already, this is a good way to grab the attention of those who may not previously have been interested in Twitch.

As with previous freebies, the games offered in this manner will be yours to keep permanently, though you'll presumably need to use the Twitch desktop app in order to grab them. Other subscription services require users to maintain their subscription to keep their games.
