White House Releases The Schiff Memo

But Representative Trey Gowdy - the only Republican on the Intelligence Committee who actually saw the classified intelligence used to write the memo - has said it has nothing to do with other aspects of the Russian investigation, which Mueller took over a year ago.

In a statement, Republican congressman Devin Nunes of California reiterates his allegation that the Federal Bureau of Investigation abused a secret surveillance process to spy on a campaign adviser to President Donald Trump, Carter Page.

On the fourth page of the memo, it says Page was told of the existence of information about Hillary Clinton by Igor Devykin in July 2016.

President Donald Trump is dismissing the Democratic memo about Russian Federation election meddling as "a total and legal BUST".

The Democratic memo is meant to serve as a sort of counter to the GOP memo, which describes how the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation acquired and executed surveillance warrants for former Page, in part by allegedly using the dossier of unverified information about Mr. Trump's interactions with Russians. "Just confirms all of the awful things that were done", he said, adding "SO ILLEGAL!"

Trump, who had earlier blocked release of the Democratic memo, declared the GOP memo had vindicated him in the ongoing investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller.

"While the Democrats' memorandum attempts to undercut the president politically, the president supported its release in the interest of transparency", the White House said Saturday, after the memo was released.

Sanders says the Democratic memo is "politically driven". Sanders reiterated in her statement that "as the President has long stated, neither he nor his campaign ever colluded with a foreign power during the 2016 election, and nothing in today's memo counters that fact". The White House on February 9 objected to its release, citing national security concerns.

Bowen, a Saginaw native, transferred to SC earlier in the year and has yet to play a collegiate game. They are saying they have reviewed hundreds of pages of documents from a probe that lasted a year.

Democrats also claimed that the DOJ, in subsequent FISA renewal applications, "provided additional information obtained through multiple independent sources that corroborated Steele's reporting" about Page's meetings with Russian officials in Moscow in 2016.

In response to the Democratic memo, Page calls it "misinformation" and "the latest smear campaign" by Democratic Party loyalists.

The Democratic memo contends that the GOP document "includes other distortions and misrepresentations that are contradicted by the underlying classified documents".

The Democrat memo response on government surveillance abuses is a total political and legal BUST.

The release comes after weeks of back and forth over how much of the document would be redacted.

President Donald Trump's approval for the public posting of the counter-memo came after an agreement was reached on redacting parts of an earlier version for national security reasons.

Trump has said the GOP memo "vindicates" him in the ongoing Russian Federation investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller.
