Christian Fauria suspended from WEEI for mocking agent Don Yee with fake Asian accent

Borges, citing anonymous sources, reported that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady would refuse to participate in off-season team activities if he did not get a contract matching the one given to his former backup Jimmy Garoppolo. "In a segment during the show, I impersonated agent Don Yee in an insensitive and regrettable way. More recently, Fauria has worked as a college football analyst for CBS, color commentator for Patriots preseason games locally on WBZ-TV, and host of a pre- and postgame show during the NFL regular season".

Ex-Patriots tight end Christian Fauria says he reached out to Don Yee to apologize for racist impersonation.

After he reads part of the text exchange in the "over the top" accent, his co-hosts played audio of Yee himself. Fauria was took the role of Yee, who was born and raised in Sacramento, Calif., and chose to use a thick caricature of a Chinese accent.

Not to WEEI management, which announced Fauria has been disciplined.

Shortly after the segment aired, WEEI made the decision to suspend Fauria for his racist impression. However, a WEEI listener called into the radio station Friday morning saying he had posed as Brady's agent Don Yee to supply false information. "We regret Christian's commentary and we apologize to Mr. Yee and those offended by the segment".

Baylor vs. Kansas - 2/10/18 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction
The Bears have won back-to-back games and are within striking distance of playing their way into the NCAA Tournament field. Baylor led for the final 26 minutes and didn't flinch when Kansas made a charge to get within a basket in the second half.

Managers for the sports radio network WWEE, which broadcasts Fauria's show "Ordway, Merloni & Fauria" daily throughout MA, said they do not "support or condone" Fauria's comments.

"I'm gonna be Don Yee", Fauria said before reading them.

Fauria apologized on Twitter and claimed he had reached out to Yee privately to do the same. When asked about it during his weekly interview with WEEI the next day, Brady expressed his distaste for the comment by ending the interview early.

Last week, WEEI suspended host Alex Reimer indefinitely for calling Brady's five-year-old daughter "an annoying little pissant' after watching her appearance in Brady's documentary series "Tom vs. Time".
