Distrusting Chinese Woman Climbs Into An X-Ray Machine With Her Bag

According to Chinese media, the woman's freaky actions startled security officers at the Dongguan Railway Station in China's southern Guangdong Province last Sunday (Feb 11).

It was thought that the woman did not want to leave her handbag and its valuable contents, so she chose to climb up the machine.

Train stations are grappling with a mad rush this month as hundreds of millions of people head home to celebrate Lunar New Year. According to South China Morning Post, the incident happened about 6 pm on Sunday at Dongguan railway station in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong.

The woman had willingly placed her suitcases for the security check but later when it was pointed out that her handbag would be treated no differently, her reluctance transpired.

A woman in China didn't trust the train security enough with her handbag and, so, she took it upon herself to ensure her bag made it through the scanner unharmed.

However, when the security staff told her that her handbag would also have to be checked, she climbed up the airport-style luggage scanner machine.

While internet users found the photos amusing, the station security staff did not.

The commuter then hopped off the conveyor belt and left with all her valuables in tact.

A video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the unidentified woman getting down from the conveyor belt.

It's advised not to ride the X-ray machine as the radiation given off by the scanner can be harmful.
