The 28-year-old started bleeding and was taken to hospital, where she was forced to have an abortion.
"On the day of the incident, a person named Syedhalavi came and said that he had some problem with my husband, Siby Chacko Thenumkuzhy".
Sibi's wife Josna, who was four months pregnant, intervened in an effort to stop the assault but was reportedly kicked by Thampy and Prajeesh. The assault had resulted in the woman undergoing an abortion.
A scuffle had broken out between her husband and neighbours over a boundary dispute, during which Thambi, a CPM branch secretary of Velamcode, kicked Sibi on her stomach, the police said.

If you know she is more modest it might not be the best idea to gift her with lingerie that she would feel uncomfortable wearing. I've never even been on a date, so when I say I love Valentine's Day , I'm not just saying it because I'm in love with someone.
The seven men had forcibly entered into Josana Sibby's house on January 28.
Sibi, also a mother to a five-year-old son, lodged a complaint in this connection on February 2.
Her husband Thenumkuzhy told Times Now that the local CPI (M) leaders are putting pressure on him to withdraw their police complaint. According to the woman, an activist threatened to chop off her husband's legs. Earlier, police had arrested one accused involved in the case. The main culprit in the case is still roaming free. A local leader of the state's ruling CPM has also been arrested, say reports. "I have made a decision to sit in front of the police station demanding justice", he was quoted as saying by Times Now. However, the family is adamant that they will fight the case till the end. The CPM, on the other hand, denied that the party was linked to the incident in any way.
