Four personnel of FC were martyred during an attack on their vehicle in an area of Quetta early Wednesday.

Security officials inspect the attack site in southwest Pakistan's Quetta on February 14, 2018.

The victims had no chance to retaliate, said Abdul Razzaq Cheema, a senior police official, adding that they recovered 108 Kalashnikov bullet cases from the site.

Several groups representing allergy sufferers have condemned the scene, prompting the hashtag #boycottpeterrabbit on social media. Australian allergy non-profit Globalaai posted a petition on Change.org that attracted 10,000 signatures over the weekend.

Quetta is the capital of Baluchistan province, which has been the scene of a low-level insurgency by Baluch separatist groups that demand a greater share of the province's resources. "It was a coordinated attack and the goal was to target the FC personnel in the vehicle", Cheema said.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack but Baloch nationalists and Taliban militants often target security men in the province. The assailants have repeatedly targeted security personnel and government officials in the area. "We will track the terrorists and take revenge from them", he said.
