Later on Tuesday, the IAS Association decided that officers will not meet or talk over phone with the Chief Minister or his Ministers or party MLAs till Kejriwal apologises and takes action on the alleged assault.

On Tuesday night, the second AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal was arrested by the police in connection with the alleged assault and, on Wednesday morning, Chief Minister Kejriwal's advisor V.K. Jain was questioned at the Civil Lines Police station in connection with the issue.

Mr Prakash further alleged that the assault was "premeditated" and a "conspiracy" of all those present.

The officers' bodies had on Tuesday announced that they would boycott meetings with chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Cabinet colleagues until he apologised for the alleged assault on the chief secretary by AAP MLAs at the chief minister's residence, and maintain written communication with them. Srivastava claimed that Anshu Prakash was intimidated by the accused and none of the MLAs present there came forward to save him.
