Dana Airline has blamed cold and wet weather for the reason one of its aircraft skidded off the runway to crash land in the bush at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
"All on-board were evacuated safely with no reported casualties".
It will be recalled that 49 persons escaped death after the aircraft which flew from Abuja to Port Harcourt skidded off the runway when landing.
The investigators, it was learnt, arrived Port Harcourt yesterday morning and they are to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the incident.
Also reacting, General Manager in charge of Corporate Affairs at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, said, "A Dana aircraft numbered 9J0363 flying from Abuja to Port Harcourt airport has overshot the Port Harcourt runway".

The Dana incidence is coming barely a week after Delta Airline also had serious incident and had to make an air return to the Murtala Muhammed Airport for an emergency landing.
The CPC said in a statement that while all passengers and crew were safely evacuated without injuries, there was a need for thorough investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
This is coming nearly six years after the airline's service from Abuja to Lagos crashed, killing all the 159 persons on board.
