Dolly Parton Earns Two Guinness World Records Honors

In her six-decade career, she has also garnered nine Grammy Awards, two Academy Award nominations, 10 Country Music Association Awards, seven Academy of Country Music Awards, and three American Music Awards.

In honor of her award, officials from the Guinness World Records organization traveled to Nashville to deliver her framed certificates in person.

The Tennessee treasure earned not one, but two, entries in the Guinness World Records' 2018 edition. Dolly was recognized in not one but two separate categories: "Most decades with a Top 20 hit on the US Hot Country Songs chart" and "Most hits on the US Hot Country Songs chart by a female artist".

She is the only country artist ever to have a Top 20 hit across six consecutive decades (1960s - 2010s), distinguishing her over other legends such as Elvis Presley, George Jones and Reba McEntire. Charted hits go back to 1967's "Dumb Blonde" and includes 21 singles recorded with former singing partner Porter Wagoner.
