White in shock recall to Australia ODI side

Selectors Snub Glenn Maxwell For The ODI Side

Cameron White replaces Chris Lynn in Australia's ODI squad for England series

White's return to the ODI squad comes almost three years after his last worldwide appearance for Australia, during the triangular series played along with England and India.

White's unexpected selection ahead of Glenn Maxwell follows Tim Paine's shock and inspired inclusion in Australia's Ashes-winning team despite the wicketkeeper not even being Tasmania's number one choice. White had been set to lead the Renegades with regular skipper Aaron Finch out on global duty, but the captaincy will now be handed to veteran Brad Hodge.

"I was very surprised this morning when Australian chief selector Trevor Hohns rang me", cricbuzz quoted White saying.

Neds have Maxwell's Melbourne Stars at a long-shot $81 to win the BBL, with White's Renegades at $3.75 - equal favourites with the Adelaide Strikers.

"Cameron White is in very good form, he is one of the leading run-scorers in the KFC BBL".

The complaint is "certainly not typical", said Greg Kanargelidis, an global trade lawyer at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. This is hardly Donald Trump's first protectionist action against Canada.

White who debuted in 2005 played 88 ODIs and 47 T20s.

"I've got an understanding of my game now, I'm a bit older and understand what sort of mental state I need to get myself into to make sure I'm scoring runs consistently - clear mind, watch the ball and react to it", he said.

Maxwell has denied suggestions of a rift with Smith and intends to catch up the Australia captain with to address the comments he made. "We get along really well, we've got a good friendship", Maxwell said.

"The good thing about now is I feel I'm a better player than when I last played [for Australia], so I'm happy that I've got another opportunity and hopefully I can show that".

"He's only trying to get the best out of me as the Australian skipper - there's not much you can say to the guy who's second-best to the Don".
