John Cena in Talks to Star in 'Duke Nukem'

John Cena is in negotiations to star in the Paramount's "Duke Nukem" movie, which is the big-screen version of the long-running video game franchise.

After the report that John Cena could be getting ready to kick alien ass and chew bubble gum (although he might want to make sure he still has some gum first), one artist imagined how the WWE star might appear as Duke Nukem. The fourth game, Duke Nukem Forever, did indeed take pretty much forever to arrive, eventually landing in 2011.

In addition to his professional wresting career, Cena has appeared in a number of films, including Trainwreck, The Marine, and Daddy's Home.

Wynn Resorts Stock Shoots Higher on Q4 Earnings Beat
Gauging the level of enthusiasm that Wall Street analysts have for a particular stock is important when considering an investment. The stock of Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ: WYNN ) has "Outperform" rating given on Thursday, April 7 by Telsey Advisory Group .

The Nukem video games follow muscular adventures of its titular protagonist, who initially was a mash-up of action hero tropes. The project does not yet have a director, but the search for a writer will reportedly begin soon.

This news is baffling considering the Duke Nukem franchise is truly in disrepair and Duke's irreverant and politcally incorrect escapades don't exactly mesh well with the current "Me Too" Hollywood landscape. Now, the foul-mouthed action hero is set to be produced by Michael Bay's production company, Platinum Dunes, and by Paramount.
