ACTRESS Eliza Dushku has claimed she was sexually abused as a child while working on a big Hollywood production.
"I just heard about it, but obviously Eliza is very courageous for speaking up, and I think all the women are that are speaking up and calling for a reckoning now [are brave]", Cameron said on Saturday to a group of journalists during the Television Critics Association press tour for his series James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction. "I [love] her. This makes me very angry [and] breaks my heart but I AM SO PROUD OF HER". "Directors are historically pretty oblivious to the interpersonal things that are happening on their sets", Cameron said. "I think all the women are that are speaking up and calling for a reckoning now (are brave)".
But Cameron said he doesn't see sexual harassment or assault as "a Hollywood problem, Hollywood is in a unique position of shining a spotlight on it", because prominent accusers are famous, even if they weren't at the time they were victims.
'Bravo for them for doing it and I'm glad Eliza did that. "It's heartbreaking that it happened to her".
The director said he had not worked with Kramer since "True Lies" and acknowledged the need for an open and supportive system to report such misconduct.
"I think going forward that all industries, certainly Hollywood, to create a safe avenue for people to speak up, that they feel safe. Hopefully we will put something in place as an industry practice to do as much as we can".
"It's not a reckoning for Hollywood, it's not a reckoning for America". This shit has been going on since day one. They're clearly not feeling what this could mean for the person down the line. "I guess I'll have to get a lawyer and file a lawsuit against her for defamation and slander".
Second half dooms WVU in first loss since November
Ahmad has been practicing with the team while sitting out, and he should be well-adjusted when he returns to the floor. However, Smith has been slowed by a foot injury that kept him out of Tuesday night's Oklahoma game, a Red Raider loss.
She wrote that Kramer later "grew aroused again" during a cab ride back home, during which he allegedly grabbed her and sat her on his lap.
Kramer has worked behind-the-scenes on blockbuster such as Mr and Mrs Smith, Blade Runner andFast and The Furious 7 added that he thought the allegations were "just insane", insisting he "treated her like a daughter".
"Over the years, I've really struggled as I've wondered how my life might have been different if someone, any one grown-up who witnessed his sick ways, had spoken up before he lured me to that hotel room."
"When I was 12 years old, while filming 'True Lies, ' I was sexually molested by Joel Kramer, one of Hollywood's leading stunt coordinators", wrote Dushku, now 37. I treated her like a daughter.
"Nice statement, although we always thought it was creepy that his character in the movie says of Eliza's character, 'She's probably stealing the money for an abortion, '" Twitter user @Msjuliedarling wrote. "At the time, Eliza was too scared to tell the whole story and in a way I think she protected me from knowing because she knew how frightened I was of the powerful men on the set". "Sharing these words, finally calling my abuser out publicly by name, brings the start of a new calm".
"This is all vile lies", Kramer told Us.
Kramer said the lies perpetrated by Eliza are incredibly vicious and entirely contrived. Especially with a minor.
