The 2018 awards season has become a platform for politics, with hosts, award-winners and attendees using the red carpet and on-stage air-time to call out the mistreatment of women, following a crushing year of sexual harassment and assault revelations.

The Indian American actor's "Master of None" has picked up two nominations at the 70th annual DGA Awards that will take place February 3, 2018 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Alison Brie was speaking on the red carpet for the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night in Los Angeles.

The GLOW actor, who is married to Franco's brother and The Disaster Artist co-star Dave Franco, talked to E! "Suddenly I was 19 again and I began to remember all the men who had taken advantage of the fact that I was a young woman who didn't yet have the tools to say no, or understand the value of my own self-worth", she said. I obviously support my family", she said, "Not everything that has been reported is fully accurate, so I think we're waiting to get all the information.

'There are people, women and others who have not been a part of this conversation and I truly believe and why I was wearing the pin is that they need to be a part of this conversation and so I support that.

"But of course I think now is a time for listening and that's what we're all trying to do". So I don't want to, you know, shut them down in any way.

He continued, "Like I said, there are stories that need to get out, people that need to be heard". "If I have to take a knock because I'm not going to try and actively refute things, then I will because I believe in it that much".
