The Pelicans have won six of their last eight games.
Showers Possible on Saturday and Sunday
Initially, the air is cold enough for a period of freezing rain and snow in much of central and northern New England. For the vast majority of Northeast Kansas though, temperatures will be stuck in the 30s throughout the day today .
Down by 18 points in the fourth quarter, the Pelicans stormed back after an outstanding performance from Cousins to win the game 132-128 in double overtime. As a team, the Pelicans shot 50 percent from the field and seven of 27 form the three-point line but they really had to work for it despite leading by as many as 21 points late in the second quarter. Now, Pondexter is contributing for the Bulls after the Pelicans traded him this summer, averaging 2.3 points in 9.3 minutes per game. That's tied for the second-least of any opponent he has gone against. However, Cousins has shown that he has a better all-around game.
The Chicago Bulls have won four of their last five games and they be looking to stay hot after taking down the Hawks in a 113-97 blowout on Saturday. E-Twaun Moore scored 15 points, Jrue Holiday added 12 and Darius Miller came off the bench to score 10.
