Dark Souls 1 Reportedly Being Remastered for Multiple Platforms

If one were so inclined, now is as good a time as any to praise the sun.

Despite the listing only coming up for PS4, it stands to reason that the Dark Souls Remastered edition could also come to Xbox One - after all, Dark Souls released on the 360.

At this point, developer From Software's Dark Souls doesn't need much explaining. Often incorrectly described as unfairly hard, the series is known for granting players ample opportunity to fail, punishing them for their own hubris and greed.

Dark Souls Remastered is scheduled to launch on May 25, giving everyone a chance to return to the lands of Lordran as the Chosen Undead. The remaster aims to solve the games problems while keeping its incredible atmosphere and tone intact. In terms of resolution, Dark Souls: Remastered will offer native 4K resolution at 60 fps. The interesting combination of deep philosophical themes and punishing gameplay has a surprise mass appeal for all kinds of gamers. These people have been calling out for a remaster of the game, especially considering that the original version had a number of glaring technical faults.
