Ronnie Lucas Wilson, 31, shot at Tennessee police officer David Williams from his vehicle during a traffic stop Thursday evening, the Associated Press reported.
Ronnie Lucas Wilson opened fire on Knoxville Officer David Williams as the cop attempted to stop him for speeding, according to Police Chief David Rausch. Ronnie Wilson said he has not been in touch with Lucas Wilson since the shooting.
Officer Jay Williams, a 14-year KPD veteran, was shot once, in the shoulder.

Knoxville Police Chief David Rausch said Wilson fired multiple rounds at Williams with a shotgun as the officer pursed him by auto.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added Wilson to the state's Top 10 Most Wanted list.
At the time he was pulled over, Wilson was driving a black 1970s model Chevrolet Nova with a red stripe on its hood, Rausch said. He was given a three-year prison sentence after he was convicted of aggravated burglary in 2011.
Facebook photos also reveals that Wilson, who is "very familiar" to local authorities, has a large swastika tattoo on his body as well as a Celtic cross with the words 'White Pride Worldwide, ' according to The Knoxville News Sentinel.
KnoxNews reports that Wilson is a member of the Aryan Nations, a white supremacist group.
Authorities recovered what is believed to be Wilson's vehicle early Friday. Callers can remain anonymous.
