It was first announced in May 2012, but it wasn't until the following January that the first teaser trailer released, showcasing the open-world setting as well as potentially the main characters in a highly stylized fashion. If you're very, very excited for CD Projekt RED's next project, the hairs on your skin may rise a little bit.

Unfortunately, that was the extent of any official details regarding the game. CD Projekt RED claimed back in 2013 that the announcement trailer represents the quality of the in-game visuals that the game will feature. While this may seem like nothing major, Cyberpunk 2077's official Twitter account recently broke the silence by composing its very first tweet since 2013.

With how awesome The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (and in particular, the franchise itself), it's hard to not get giddy for CD Projekt RED's games.

There is so much hype surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 that it is one of the most anticipated games ever. The game has received a huge number of awards and is a proof that single player games are still good.
