"I get it: There's one viewer that you care about right now, and you're being obsequious and you're being a factotum in order to please him", Tapper responded.

Miller, in turn, scolded Tapper for making "condescending" and "snide" remarks and bashed CNN for airing "24 hours of negative, anti-Trump, hysterical coverage".

Miller's interview with Tapper was extremely contentious, and ended when Tapper chose to abandon the segment and move on to other subjects.

A partial transcript of what happened next off the air showed a tense exchange, one that reportedly led Miller to be escorted off the set.

Mr Miller also criticised Steve Bannon, who is quoted extensively in the book, saying it was "tragic and unfortunate" that the former senior aide "would make these grotesque comments so out of touch with reality and obviously so vindictive". Now, Bannon's out of favor, and Miller is tearing him apart.

UConn places 4 among midseason Wooden Award candidates
Texas A&M freshman guard Chennedy Carter was named to the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 List, as announced on espnW.com Thursday. Gustafson is one of three student-athletes not included on the preseason top 30 list to be added to the midseason top 25.

"We'll discuss, as I said when I announced that he was going to be doing the physical, we'll have a readout of that after that is completed and we'll let you know at that time", Sanders said. "Is the president really arguing that Steve Bannon had nothing to do with him or the presidency?" He also lauded Trump as a "political genius".

"I think I've wasted enough of my viewers' time".

"I have plenty of questions on immigration - you've attempted to filibuster by talking about your flights with the president", Tapper said.

Miller said Monday night that the transcript leak is "just another example of CNN's very low journalistic standards".

While Trump had a decidedly different view of the segment, many Twitter users applauded Tapper's decision to pull the plug on Miller.
