Sarah Palin's Army veteran son, Track, was reportedly arrested on burglary and assault charges on Saturday.
Cops collared Track Palin, 28, in Wasilla, Alaska, and he was charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief during a Sunday arraignment in state court, according to court documents. "They ask that the family's privacy is respected during this challenging situation just as others dealing with a struggling family member would also request".
Palin, who is now in custody at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility in Palmer, was also arrested in January 2016 after engaging in a violent fight with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Loewe. All the charges involved domestic violence, the records indicated.
Court records did not indicate whether an attorney had been appointed for Track Palin, and Reuters was unable to reach an attorney who has represented him in the past.
A year ago the prosecution dismissed two charges, and Track Palin pled guilty to a charge of misconduct involving weapons. She said her son came back "different" after his year-long deployment in Iraq. His girlfriend also later filed for the custody of their son and a protective order against Palin, it was reported.
