Rousey, the first-ever UFC women's bantamweight champion, wrapped up her career in the octagon on December 30, 2016, after suffering a knockout defeat to Amanda Nunes.
UFC president Dana White said as much recently, confirming that she hasn't officially retired while questioning why she would even consider returning to the octagon.
That's according to USA Today, which cited two people close to Rousey in reporting Wednesday that the former UFC champion is "finalizing details" of a contract with the professional wrestling company.
That will nearly certainly stand as Rousey's final MMA fight, as even UFC President Dana White has said he doesn't expect her back in the octagon.

Speculation has been running wild over a possible Wrestlemania appearance next year at New Orleans for a long time now and the 30-year-old fuelled the rumours last September. In the case of Ronda Rousey, the WWE has been looking for "something more", and they've been recruiting the real-life wrestling fan pretty hard. "I wouldn't want it to happen", White said.
Baszler began her MMA career in 2003 and has competed in a total of 26 fights with a record of 15-11.
If WWE didn't want to wait until WrestleMania 34 on April 8, then Rousey could appear at the 2018 Royal Rumble on January 28 at the Wells Fargo Center.
There are also rumors that she will join her friends and fellow Four Horsewomen Ronda Rousey, Marina Sharif, and Jessamyn Duke to take on the Four Horsewomen of WWE in Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley at WrestleMania 34. But it sounds like we haven't seen the last of her in combat. Back in September, Rousey and Charlotte Flair had a bit of a run-in that culminated in Rousey growling: " "You name the time. Rousey has been in a number of TV and movie projects, including The Expendables 3 and Fast 7, plus ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, and she has regularly appeared on shows like Ellen and even hosted Saturday Night Live. Her final fight with Nunes was in December of past year. WrestleMania season is right around the corner, and there's no question WWE would want to have Rousey's debut coincide with one of the company's biggest shows of the year.
