"They make every translation of their rich universe of characters into new media fresh and interesting while still retaining the feel and spirit of the original comics, and, as a Marvel fan, I'm proud that we've helped them do it again in podcasting". Percy says the series will resemble nonfiction true-crime podcasts like Serial and S-Town, as well as True Detective, but that it's also likely to draw upon plot elements from the title character's long comic-book and film history.

Marvel Entertainment has announced that Richard Armitage will be the second Hollywood leading man to play the Wolverine - but this time, in a podcast.

The show will feature a diverse array of vocal talent, with a cast that includes Celia Keenan-Bolger as agent Sally Pierce, Ato Essandoh as agent Tad Marshall, and Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Burns deputy Bobby Reid.

"Because he's been mind-wiped again and again, he doesn't know the whole awful truth about his life".

The 10-episode series will be available exclusively on Stitcher Premium until fall 2018, when it will make way for a wide release across all podcast platforms. And some of them have to do with Wolverine as his legend grows in this area, as people observe him bounding through the mists with packs of wolves; as they witness him save and end lives.

Other performers who will appear on the show are Zoe Chao, Chaske Spencer, Bob Balaban, Jordan Bridges, Scott Adsit, David Call, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Michael J. Burg, Lannon Killea, and Chris Gethard.

While the story is all worked out and the cast is in place, the minds behind the show saw they're still working on nailing down Wolverine's signature snikt sound when he pops his claws.

Scripted narrative podcasts have skyrocketed in popularity during this past year, and now Marvel is looking to get in on the action.

Marvel is known to tell compelling stories with fascinating characters using all different kinds of mediums.
