John Mayer has sent a heartfelt thank you to fans for the outpouring of love and support after the guitarist was rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy earlier this week. "Had surgery yesterday and woke up to see some amazingly kind and loving tweets". In the tweet, he mentions being "sorry that we couldn't finish out the last few dates of the tour".

All tickets will be honored at the rescheduled dates, the info of which should be released in the coming weeks. It remains unclear whether Mayer will be able to play those shows, though the band has yet to make a formal announcement regarding the status of either gig. On Wednesday, the Grateful Dead-ish supergroup confirmed that concerts on Thursday at Orlando's Amway Center and Friday at Sunrise's BB&T Center were among those affected. Refunds are also available.
