Chris Hogan out against Steelers

Report: Patriots WR Chris Hogan To Miss Game Against Steelers With Shoulder Injury

Patriots WR Chris Hogan won't play versus Steelers

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan (shoulder) is expected to be a surprise inactive on Sunday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Hogan suffered the shoulder injury earlier in the season and missed four games. Defensive end Trey Flowers and new receiver Kenny Britt will play on Sunday. In the game, the Killers B's for the Steelers were on full display. He was listed on the Patriots' official practice/injury report each day this week as having limited participation, and his game status was questionable. They will today, as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le'Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown all are healthy and ready to go. Van Noy is second on the team in sacks and tackles, as missing these two players certainly hurt the Patriots. Expect Brady to frequently look Gronkowski's way over the middle and down the seam - areas of the field New England struggled to attack in last week's loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Hogan has 34 catches for 439 yards and 5 touchdowns in nine games.

In addition to Flowers being out last week, the Patriots were also without Kyle Van Noy.
