You can't exactly order pizza in orbit - so the crew of the International Space Station made some from scratch.

Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli has been on the space station orbiting Earth for more than 100 days, and was getting homesick. Kirk Chairman pleased cosmonauts, sending them to the American cargo ship "Cygnus" all the necessary ingredients.

Because everything in microgravity floats, the astronauts were careful to tether things down while slapping ingredients onto their pizza. Earlier, the worldwide coffee day, Paolo Nespoli celebrated the holiday by preparing a Cup of espresso with the coffee machine orbital.

"What works when you're preparing a recipe for eight doesn't necessarily work when you're scaling it up for 200", she said. Nespoli, along with NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik and Roscosmos commander Sergey Ryazansky, began their outer space mission in July and have continued to share photos and videos of their findings. London, New York and California alongside awesome natural landscapes across our Earth are seen from 250 miles above in Space.

While the menu is fairly expansive, everyone is bound to miss some of their favorite foods, like pizza.

Once heated, they throw the pizzas to each other like frisbees before eating them.

The International Space Station has been colonized by thousands of microbe species, according to a new study in the journal PeerJ.

Bresnik dubbed the crew the "Intergalactic Pizza Devouring Squad", or IPDS.

It's not the first time astronauts have shown us how they live in space.
