Taylor Swift shows up to Nashville Target

Reputation is the furthest Taylor Swift has strayed from her country-pop beginnings

The new Taylor's "Reputation" does not disappoint

Taylor Swift's new album "Reputation" has sold more than one million copies in its first four days, Nielsen Music said on Tuesday, but the US pop star failed to beat the record set by Britain's Adele two years ago.

Fans have been dissecting the lyrics to each of the tracks on the Shake It Off hitmaker's new album, Reputation, to determine who they are written about, and some have become convinced Ed is the guy of her affections on Dress.

"It also stood out to me when she said it was a tradition to come to that Target and buy her album", Turner shared.

"Reputation" is Swift's fourth consecutive album to sell more than a million copies in its first week.

As it has with Swift's previous albums, Big Machine has withheld "Reputation" from streaming services initially, a move that helps drive sales early among fans most committed to hearing it immediately.

"Reputation", her first studio album in three years, marked another transformation for Swift with songs marked by vengeance that take aim at the media and some of her haters. Now, the album is tracking to be No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart December 2, with critics now generally praising the album itself. She's already passed up Ed Sheeran, whose newest album, ÷, sold 919,000 copies, for the top-selling album in the U.S.
