How Warriors secured win over Sixers despite poor start

Golden State Warriors, Steph Curry erase 22-point deficit in 10 minutes, top Sixers

Golden State Warriors: 47-point third quarter leads to win vs. 76ers

Curry rattled in 20 points alone in the third quarter as the Warriors erased a 22-point Sixers lead and quickly accelerated clear of their rivals.

Golden State lost their last game to the Boston Celtics, 92 - 88; Celtics extend winning streak to 14 games.

The Warriors (12-4) allowed the Sixers to score 47 first-quarter points, the worst defensive output they showed since conceding 48 first-quarter points to Portland almost 25 years ago. Golden State, with all the momentum, began the fourth with a 10-point lead. Klay Thompson is the third double-digit scorer and Draymond Green is grabbing 7.7 rebounds. Steve Kerr called his second timeout four minutes into the quarter just eight seconds removed from his first timeout because he was livid with the formation of his players. He also added 12 assists and eight rebounds bouncing back nicely after struggling in their first meeting a week ago.

Scots job may tempt O'Neill, says Rodgers
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers believes compatriot Michael O'Neill would have plenty to work with if he took over as Scotland manager.

Simmons impressed Kevin Durant and the Warriors twice over the last week, scoring a team-high 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting with 12 assists and 8 rebounds Saturday. He's averaging 17.8 PTS, 9.2 REB, 7.7 AST, 1.9 STL and 0.8 BLK with 3.6 TO for the 2017-2018 season. Ben Simmons contributed 18 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds and five steals. "I wish I could have had a quadruple-double, with blocks, but, like I said, I just went out there and played basketball, and played the right way".

The Warriors, NBA's best third quarter team, hit the ground running out of the half, putting together an 11-2 run to start the quarter, cutting the Sixers lead to 13 early on. Not sure how the Nets keep up with the horses on Golden State.

After trailing by 24 points at the beginning of the second half, Golden State outscored Philadelphia 47-15 in the third frame to flip the script and put the Dubs in front for the remainder of the contest. Not worth typing the events that happened in the final quarter, because there wasn't anything that brought the Sixers close down the stretch in this one.
