Mozilla says that Firefox Quantum will feel speedier when you browse your favorite websites, thanks to faster page loading, smoother scrolling, and a more responsive user interface. Mozilla's removed the controversial rounded tabs that have proved unpopular with users since their introduction.
The optimization to make Firefox Quantum run as smoothly as it does is carried out through a brand new GPU-accelerated rendering engine that was written in Rust named "WebRender". As before, you can sync passwords, bookmarks, and other data between Firefox installs on different devices, and the Send Tabs feature lets you instantly share open tabs between your computer, mobile, and tablet.
You can snag the new browser from Mozilla's site.
