MI redshirt senior QB Wilton Speight completed just 14 of 23 attempts for 169 yards in the school's 29-13 win over Air Force on Saturday. The seventh-ranked Wolverines are now 3-0.

Quinn Nordin finished 5 for 5 on field-goal attempts, while Donovan Peoples-Jones put aside his struggles against Cincinnati and returned a punt 79 yards for a touchdown. With just:02 showing on the clock in the first frame, Luke Strebel booted a 37-yard field goal to knot the score at 3-all. The offense was almost shut out against Air Force until Karan Higdon scored on a long touchdown run with just more than a minute left. Next week, the Wolverines head to Purdue to take on a Boilermaker team that has looked like a new program this season under new head coach Jeff Brohm.

Nordin's 35-yard field goal gave MI an early advantage. Air Force routed VMI 62-0 in its season opener and hopes to ride the momentum to its first win against a Big Ten opponent since beating Northwestern in 2003.

The Wolverines increased their lead to 22-13 on yet another drive that stalled in the red zone. Sketchy play-calling from the 18 forced the Wolverines to have Nordin kick a 36-yard field goal. The Falcons drove 73 yards on 15 plays and missed a 29-yard field goal.

Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh dies at 98
As India declared Independence on August 15, 1947, Singh led the fly-past of more than a hundred IAF aircraft over the Red Fort. The wheelchair-bound Arjan Singh , to everyone's awe, stood up to salute the man who gave Indian defence a defined edge.

The teams traded field goals throughout the first half and the Wolverines emerged with a 9-6 lead.

The Wolverines' final drive of the half typified their inefficient offense. MI has defeated Air Force in all three meetings. MI faced a third and 21 at the 35 and settled for the field goal. Through three games he has only thrown two touchdowns compared to two interceptions.

Running back Chris Evans also fumbled the ball on the team's second drive of the game.

Air Force found itself down 16-6 after Peoples-Jones ran back the punt with 13:51 to go in the third quarter.
