According to the investigation team, Suni visited Kavya's residence at Vennala in Kochi before the crime in February and accepted a sum of Rs 25,000 as an advance from the actress's mother. In her plea moved through her husband Dileep's advocate B.Raman Pillai she claimed that she assumes that the police were trying to implicate her in the case.

Meanwhile, the High Court will consider the anticipatory bail petitions of actress Kavya Madhavan and director Nadirshah on Monday. Kavya however has maintained that she has no association with Sunil Kumar. "They threatened to array her as an accused unless certain illegal demands raised by them were complied with", the plea said. Dileep's bail plea has been denied thrice already by the sessions as well as the High Court. He had reportedly informed the police that he has visited Kavya Madhavan's villa and Laksyah, the online store run by her in Kakkanad.
He said the only case against him is that he hired Pulsar Suni, the prime accused, to capture nude photographs of the victim. However, a conspiracy angle cropped up much later that led to Dileep's arrest. The petitioner had disclosed whatever she knew. Kavya also said that SIT head IG Dinendra Kashyap was totally unaware of the plan to interrogate Dileep and has not met Dileep till date. The police is believed to be at the last stages of the investigation.
