BJP National Executive will meet in Delhi on Monday to take stock of the current political and economic situation in the country.

The main meeting will be held on Monday at the Talkatora Stadium.

A key departure for the meeting will be the presence of all elected BJP lawmakers, including close to 337 MPs, 1,400 MLAs and all MLCs, besides its core group leaders from the States. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the valedictory address during the event in the evening. He said, the meeting also resolved to carry on the pledge of Swachh Bharat and New India. The meet is important for BJP office-bearers and National Executive members from states like MP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, which will go to polls in 2018.

Party president Amit Shah reviewed the party performance in last six-eight months whereas the senior leaders maintained that the party workers' morale was quite high as the organisational functioning structure has been streamlined.

A meeting of party office-bearers took place on Sunday afternoon to set the agenda for the executive. Sources in the BJP said party Vice President Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and General Secretary Ram Madhav have been assigned to prepare the resolutions.

BJP sources said the party's resolution is likely to assert that the economy has been doing better under the NDA than it did under the previous UPA government.

Coming on the occasion of the birth centenary of Sangh Parivar icon Deendayal Upadhyay, the prime minister's announcement may seek to address concerns from many quarters as the growth was shown at a three-year low of 5.7% in the first quarter of 2017-18, they said.

Shah gathered first-hand feedback from many states during his 95-day "vistarak" campaign by visiting various state capitals and interacting with the cadre and locals. Perhaps, that explains "How the BJP wins", a book written by Hindustan Times associate editor Prashant Jha and released by deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, at the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) on Friday.
