While fans are waiting for any inkling of another Borderlands game, Gearbox Software has now announced a brand new game. Anyone interested in testing this upcoming game can sign up via the Shift website here.
Gearbox has not revealed any additional details as of yet, apart from a closed technical test that will go live later this Summer.
The closed technical test will feature three modes, Ranked, Challenge and Arena, all of which are pretty self-explanatory. How that exactly works is unclear at this point as Gearbox hasn't released a lot of information on the project. The test is asking for a limited number of players, in order to test the game's online infrastructure and for said players to send feedback.
