The Secret Service is pushing back on President Donald Trump's attorney's remarks Sunday that there was nothing questionable going on at a meeting last summer between Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., a Russian lawyer and top members of Trump's campaign. "Their interests were pushed aside for global projects and their wealth was taken from the communities and shipped overseas", said Helen Aguirre Ferre, White House director of media affairs.
"This week, the Trump administration will honor the awesome American workers and companies who have products that are made in America", Helen Ferre, the White House's director of media affairs, told reporters at a briefing Sunday.
But Trump has flouted his own lawyer, bragging to people around him that no one can control his actions.
Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice will speak to staff on the Senate Intelligence Committee this week.
Earlier this week, Kasowitz made headlines when he responded to a critic in a profanity-laced email that was published by ProPublica, reports The Hill magazine. He'll coordinate with Trump's personal lawyer on Russian Federation matters, Marc Kasowitz.
The meeting has drawn widespread scrutiny since The New York Times reported on it last weekend.
Debate continues over IL school funding formula bill
No school district would receive less funding, but poor districts would receive substantially more. The legislation passed both the Illinois House and Senate, but without veto-proof majorities.
Emails sent to Kasowitz and his spokesman were not immediately returned.
The people requested anonymity because Cobb's hiring hadn't yet been announced at the time. Others on the Russia-response team include lawyer Jay Sekulow, a frequent TV surrogate for Trump, and Mark Corallo, a public relations consultant. "I think, if I had a meeting that involved Russian government efforts to try to help candidate Trump and hurt (Hillary) Clinton, that I would remember that", Sen. He had considered Emmet Flood, William Burck and several others for the position. Special Counsel Robert Mueller also has a team of crack investigators probing Russian Federation as well as issues related to potential obstruction of justice.
Nevertheless, Gorelick said that after advising Kushner to look into whether to stick with her, he has opted to put criminal defense attorney Abbe Lowell at the helm for all things Russian Federation.
Abbe Lowell will now handle Russian Federation inquiries.
"Of course I am still part of Jared Kushner's legal team", Gorelick said in a statement. We are now helping Abbe's team.
