Lonzo Ball Was Spectacular Wednesday Night As Showtime Returned To The Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball was interviewed after the Lakers-Cavaliers Las Vegas Summer League contest on Wednesday night's ESPN SportsCenter.

Ball suffered the injury Sunday night and left in the third quarter of the Lakers' semifinal win. Because of that, the other Lakers are moving well off the ball, running the court, and he has changed the dynamic of the Lakers team (much like he did at UCLA).

The move was expected given how little importance there is on Summer League play despite the Lakers reaching the championship game. Ball is a strong candidate for MVP honors after averaging 16.4 points, 9.2 assists, and 8.4 rebounds in five games.

When he sported James Harden's Adidas, Ball tallied his second triple double in the Summer League with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists.

Of course it starts with Ball, who's now the Summer League's all-time leader in assists per game.

"It's making a statement to the brands of what they could have had with an open mind", Ball said in a text message to ESPN's Darren Rovell.

Looking at some alternate time periods, the 12 month price index is 1.17147, the 24 month is 1.29986, and the 36 month is 0.75742. Three investment analysts have rated the stock with a sell rating and seven have assigned a hold rating to the company.

Ball is suffering from a mild calf strain in his right leg.

The game will be interesting even without Ball.

After a rocky start in the opening game, it's clear that Ball has Laker coaches, players and fans excited about his future and what it yet to come. Typically, though, most National Basketball Association players rest following the Summer League regardless of any injuries, serious or minor. Caruso played extremely well filling in for Ball and will probably be called upon again to do it again tonight. "I wanted to get back out there". Lonzo played his first two games of the Summer League in his own signature shoes, the ZO2s, made by the company brand owned by his family. They led by 26 and cruised into halftime with a 62-40 advantage. He shot just 10-of-42 from 3-point range, though he hit his first two 3s and was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc before getting hurt Sunday.

I know no one actually wants this to be the answer, and it's not because "when you're a big baller, you can wear whatever you want".

"I think it's going to be a lot of fun", Ball said.
