Totti plans to work with Roma's new sporting director, Monchi, coach Eusebio Di Francesco and even club president James Pallotta.

Totti had been given the chance to play on, with Tokyo Verdy in Japan's second tier among the clubs to make offers to the 40-year-old midfielder.

'The first part of my life as a football player is over and now another more important one is about to begin.
