Trump publicly acknowledges Russia probe includes him

Trump lashes out at 'bad,' 'conflicted' Russia investigators

A Justice Department official - who declined to speak on the record - told CNN that the White House didn't order Rosenstein's statement.

Rosenstein appointed special counsel Robert Mueller to investigate alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US election, and has told lawmakers he would only fire him with good cause. But a person close to Trump's outside legal team who asked not to be named said Trump was merely reacting to news reports and hadn't been notified by the special counsel that he is a subject of the investigation. Rosenstein in a memo to Trump raised concerns over FBI Director James Comey.

That prompted Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to appoint Robert Mueller - himself a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director - as special counsel the following week. "Witch Hunt", the president wrote. The source spoke on condition of anonymity.

Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a special prosecutor in an investigation of alleged collusion between Trump associates and Russian Federation in the 2016 election.

As evidence, Sekulow said that Trump has not been notified of any investigation.

Former FBI Director James Comey told the Senate intelligence committee that Trump pressured him on the Russian Federation investigation and asked him to drop an investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

In a flurry of tweets, Trump accused Mueller of being the one to tell him to fire Comey in the first place. Trump has repeatedly complained about the probe, saying Democrats can not accept his election win. Cohen has received a subpoena from one of the congressional committees looking into the Russian Federation issue.

Boxing hall of famer Lewis slams Mayweather-McGregor as 'ridiculous'
Here in Ireland, McGregor is priced at 4/1 with Paddy Power and Mayweather is at 1/6 as well. "They asked for this fight". In fact, some have argued that McGregor will have difficulty even landing on "Money", a defensive genius.

A Justice Department spokesman said: "If there comes a point when he needs to recuse, he will. The Department of Justice has a long-established policy to neither confirm nor deny such allegations", Rosenstein's full statement read.

He speculates that her attitude may be "more informed by the structure of presidential authority and less by unwritten norms of prosecutorial independence".

He Tweeted in May, just days before firing Mr. Comey, that he "was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton", ending the Tweet calling him "the phony".

"The message the president is sending through his tweets is that he believes the rule of law doesn't apply to him and that anyone who thinks otherwise will be fired".

"Mueller is setting up a dragnet of obstruction, financial questions and every aspect of Trump's life and his associates lives", Gingrich wrote on Twitter, adding "very unsafe".

Rosenstein told a Senate Appropriations subcommittee Tuesday that he saw no cause for Mueller's dismissal. By that afternoon, Trump was re-litigating the 2016 election; "Why is that Hillary Clintons family and Dems dealings with Russian Federation are not looked at, but my non-dealings are? he tweeted".
