The UK Cabinet Office said to mark the centenary year of the honours, stated this year's awards are the most diverse ever with 10 per cent of the successful candidates from black and minority ethnic (BAME) background, the highest ever.

Popular artists Ed Sheeran, who recently saw all 16 tracks from his new album take over the Top 20 chart, and Emeli Sande, who sang in both the opening and closing ceremonies at the 2012 Olympics, are both being awarded MBEs, along with the model Erin O'Connor.
De Havilland, regarded as the last great star of Hollywood's golden age and the oldest living Oscar victor, was made a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (DBE) - the female equivalent of a knighthood.
The 96-year-old, who has been the subject of a number of campaigns to get him knighted, said the MBE was "as much honour" as he could "really expect".
Comedian Billy Connolly has been awarded a knighthood, in recognition to his services to entertainment and charity.
Among those included in yesterday's list was 91 year-old Dr Rudi Leavor, chairman of the Bradford Synagogue in Manningham, who has been recognised for his services to the Jewish community and interfaith relations in the city.

Bernard Kenny receives the George Medal for trying to stop MP Jo Cox's killer, a year on from the murder - Berndard tried to stop Thomas Mair attacking MP Jo Cox outside her constituency surgery in Yorkshire.
She joined the academy from a primary school in Cardiff last September and the honour recognises her contribution to school improvement in Wales and beyond.
