For the third year in a row, LeBron James powered the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Finals.

James gave the interview on a "Road Trippin'" podcast that aired Friday and told hosts and fellow Cavaliers players Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, as well as sideline reporter Allie Clifton, that he disagreed with assertions by Green that James started National Basketball Association super teams.

Forward Draymond Green wore a "Quickie" T-shirt to the Golden State Warriors' NBA championship parade on Thursday, with the "Q" copied from the logo of Quicken Loans Arena, home of the Cavaliers. Got "em outta here quick with the trophy - Quickie", said Green, who maintained that this was all in jest as he remains pals with LeBron James off the court.

"I mean in 2003, the Lakers combined Karl Malone, Gary Payton, (Shaquille O'Neal), and Kobe (Bryant)". And in "96, when Jordan was retired, the Rockets joined Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler all on the same team".

LeBron said, " ... but I don't look at it as ...

"I definitely didn't start the super team, [like] he's trying to say", James said on the "Road Trippin" podcast hosted by teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye as well as Fox Sports Ohio sideline reporter Allie Clifton that was recorded Thursday night and published Friday morning. After all, it was a confrontation between the two players that led to Green's Game 5 suspension in the 2016 Finals, starting some trash talk and taking the two teams' rivalry to a new level.

The "super team" lost the championship a year ago against the Cavaliers when Kevin Durant was not yet in the roster. The Cavaliers can expect to win the Eastern Conference again next season, even with an improving Boston Celtics team, but Golden State will likely still present too high a hurdle in the Finals. "If that was the case, I would have grown an afro". "The only way I would come back would be if these m--f--s figure this s-- out".

Green returned the shot, posting a screenshot from a video James had shared earlier.

James, Jefferson and Frye were complimentary of the Warriors, especially Durant (James called him a "rare talent that our league hasn't seen"). "And, you know, the 3-1 tombstone cookies, and all of that".
