Two cops killed in separate attacks by terrorists

Two policemen were martyred in two separate attacks by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, Police said. Security forces are conducting counter-insurgency operation in the area.

A group of youth pelted the security forces' vehicles with stones at Rangreth, a police official said. A police official told The Hindu that one policeman, indentified as Shahzad Ahmad, was killed and another injured in the attack.

In south Kashmir, unknown gunmen opened fire and injured Suraya, a resident of Kulgam's Kutrasoo area.
